Community food distribution project — every second Saturday at Quai du Bas.
Essen für Alle is a community food distribution project at Quai du Bas 30 that rescues surplus food and redistributes it to families in Biel and the surrounding region. Every second Saturday, volunteers save and distribute between one and two tons of food — from fresh produce to bread, dairy, snacks, and hygiene products — that would otherwise go to waste.
Founded in November 2024 by RobinFood and Stadt Ernähren, with support from Essen für Alle Zürich, Schweizer Tafel, and regional partners, EfA Biel/Bienne now reaches close to 1000 registered families.
More than a distribution, EfA is a place of connection — bringing people together at QdB and strengthening social ties while fighting food waste.
